A fun way to keep family and friends updated on life! If anything, it'll be a great way to blog my adventures, lesson's learned, and new beginnings! Action, comedy, advice and opinions of a crazy girl who lives on an island!

Love Life
I seem to think I start new chapters of my life ALL the time. Although, that is kind of a fun way to view things. Keeps life fresh!
Alright, well I guess I have to explain these "new chapters" of mine. So much has happened in the last two months! First of all, I am no longer the head coach at MVHS. Reason being has nothing to do with the struggles I faced with teenagers, but it has everything to with my future and my family. There is about aN 85% chance my husband and I are getting stationed in Japan. We move next June or July. I just KNOW that in the months leading up to that (the spring time) is going to be crazy and emotional. The last thing I'm going to want to do is spend 12 hrs a day away from my husband and taking away opportunities to be with friends and family. I also won't be able to focus on the team. Kind of a downer, but I am so excited about Japan!!!
So...what am I going to do in my spare time? I have applied to 2 teaching jobs, so let's cross our fingers for a phone call about an interview! Old Navy is still a part time job so I can have some sort of income. The number one thing, CrossFit.
I have a goal to participate in CrossFit Regionals next year in May. Qualifiers are next February I believe. I definitely have a lot of work ahead of me. What excites me most about this, is that it is probably the second biggest athletic challenge I have ever dedicated myself to. Number 1? Competing to earn a D1 softball scholarship. Done and done, moving on! ;) Seriously, have you seen what they do in the games? YouTube it. It is insane. The CrossFit Games actually start up next week I think. After that, there are going to be a bunch of local competitions. I hope then in a month, when I'm fully healed, I can compete and see where I stand!
About that fully healed thing...yeah I broke my big left toe pretty bad about a week ago. I have 5 weeks to go to be fully healed up. I hope I can start running in 4 because I signed up for the Warrior Dash July 21st....hm...
A plethora of things are happening right now. I am about to embark on one of the biggest adventures of my life (Japan). I am in the process of training to be one of the most fit people in the state. All of this at the same as trying to savor every moment I have here with my friends, family, and my puppy Mya. Yeah, she won't be coming with me to Japan so I have to say good bye to my best friend on four legs.
Through every struggle, big or small, there is so much to remember and be thankful for. There isn't anything any one CAN'T do...in fact I do everything I can to not even think or say that word.
With that, I leave you with this quote. It can be applied to any aspect of your life whether or not you are an athlete..."The principle is competing against yourself. It's about self improvement, about being better than you were the day before." -Steve Young
