The Scoop!

It's been awhile since I've posted anything so I need to update you on what's going on!

I actually have 2 other posts to make but those will probably come out later this month...

Anyways! Back to 'the scoop'!

Let's see here...last time I wrote something was in January about the Hawks adventure I had so I have A LOT to catch you up on.

How about we start with February:

The beginning of the month I was pretty sick. I had originally took two weeks off after Christmas from CrossFit to let my body recover for awhile. Right as I was ready to get started again I got hit with the nastiest cold. I blame kids. I'm around them everyday...ya know what? Now thinking about it...I blame it on the kindergartner who came out of the bathroom, starred right at me, and wiped his hands on everything as he headed to the sink. Do you have any idea how hard it was to not...I'm not actually going to say it I might get in trouble. For those of you who still discipline your kids you know exactly what I'm thinking...hahaha.

Alright, anyways, I was sick. Then Jordan and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on the 18th!!! We went bowling, had dinner at Anthony's and then came home to play some pool. We had our wedding cake that my mom had frozen the whole year and some Dom Perignon from one of his groomsmen. It. Was. DELICIOUS!! All of it. In fact I ate half the damn cake and that is not an exaggeration!

The only other major thing that happened in February was starting Kid's Klub at CrossFit Unbound! It is SOOO cool. I've been able to corral kids into doing some crazy things like tire flips, handstands, and handstand walks even! Here are a few pics:

Do you know what else we did at CFU (CrossFit Unbound)?! We made a Harlem Shake video. If you don't know what it is, let me explain. First of all, it has nothing to do with the original harlem shake...never mind...I'm just going to show you ours.

I have 2 other versions. Just click here and here for it.

Now...on to March!

Jordan is 28 years old!!! We celebrated his birthday here at the house on March 9th but his actually birthday is the 12th. Anyways, two of his buddies from the East Coast flew in for it and we honestly did not sleep for 4 days. It was SO much fun. It seems that every time all of us are together there is a theme for the weekend and a song. The theme was the Jack. Ya know the clown from Jack in the Box? Well Jordan has a Jack head and everyone wore it and did a dance or something with it and it was hilarious!!!

I would have pictures but my computer isn't cooperating right now...

Another awesome thing this month was doing the 2013 CrossFit Open. This event lasted 5 weeks (it actually ends this Sunday) and each week CrossFit HQ puts out a WOD (workout of the day). You are scored by how many reps you complete in the time given for the WOD. When you submit your score online you can see how well you stack up in your region and in the world!! It is very cool. It's even great for people who aren't trying to compete against other people because you can compare your scores year to year. The WODs are never the same but you can tell how far your fitness has come. All I know for me, is that my scores are not the lowest in the region or the world so I'm doing alright! Am I going to regionals? NO. Haha. I would have to be in the top 64 and I think I'm like....300 something in the region..haha. Here are some pics from my WODs:

The other pretty awesome thing is that I got my FIRST EVERY MUSCLE UP! For those of you who don't know what that is; its when you pull your chest up to the height of the rings and push yourself forward to go into a dip position. Then press yourself out of a dip into full extension. It is super hard. Here is the video:

Now we are into April! There are a lot more things I have to let off my chest that I've come to realize too. Alright well its not a lot, just some random stuff that makes me happier!

Also, I'm trying to be a decent photographer. Not to make money with but just for me. A hobby if you will. So I'm playing around with my manual settings on my camera and also on my editing software. All the ones I've taken so far are close up shots. My next move is to mess with exposure settings and night shots! Here are a few pics so far:

Have a great day and I'll write more soon! I have a lot to fill you in on!
